About the Symposium

School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SAIS) at IACS has been founded in May 2018 by reorganization of the erstwhile Polymer Science Unit, Center for Advanced Material, Director’s Research Unit and Organic Chemistry as part of the Academic Reform at IACS. Current research activities at SAIS span over wide-ranging emerging interdisciplinary topics of Science and Technology including Soft Matter, Polymer and Supramolecular Science, Colloidal Science, Electronics and Photonics, Liquid Crystals, Drug Delivery, Chemical Biology, Environmental Science and others. This symposium will highlight on the emerging topics in the Interdisciplinary Sciences. Specific focus of this meeting will be nanomaterials, biomaterials, electronics/ photonics and precision supramolecular and macromolecular architectures. The Symposium aims to provide a common platform for the exchange of knowledge among eminent scientists and young researchers from India and abroad, working in the area of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences. It is our sincere hope that these discussions also result in future research collaborations.
